Celebrating Pride in San Diego
As Pride Month comes to a close, we think it’s important to look ahead to the rest of the year and see how we can continue supporting the LGBTQ+ community.
As a flower shop and a local indie business, we’re always looking for ways to support other small brands — so we’re putting together a list of our favorite gifts and goodies to help celebrate pride, and support the LGBTQ+ community during and after San Diego Pride!
Pride Arrangements
Through July 18th, we’re offering a variety of San Diego pride-themed arrangements and wraps to benefit The Trevor Project, a support organization for LGBTQ+ youth. The LGBTQutie and Born This Way Blooms are available for local delivery and pickup - and our Pride Dried Wrap ships nationwide!
Ash + Chess
Ash + Chess is a stationery company run by queer trans couple Ashley and Chess. They create a gorgeous selection of greeting cards and art prints, many of which include LGBTQ+ supportive messaging.
Some of our favorites for San Diego pride and beyond include the Rainbow Cactus Art Print, their Gay Rights are Human Rights Print, and the Happy to Serve Equality to All Print. Order online, or stop by our Solana Beach shop to browse our well-stocked selection of art prints and stickers from Ash + Chess!
Paru Tea
Founded in 2017, Paru Tea is a LGBTQ+ owned San Diego business that specializes in loose leaf teas from around the world. We carry the Paru Tea Flights, which include a tasting wheel to guide you through three of Paru's classic teas: Saigon Breakfast, Milk Oolong, Blue Chamomile. We also stock their Fleur Tea, a naturally caffeine-free blend made from flower petals.
If you’re local, you can also visit their tea rooms in La Jolla and Point Loma, where you can browse single-origin teas and original blends. Select teas are available for takeout (including house-milled matcha at the La Jolla shop!), and they offer semi-private tea tastings if you’d like to dive deeper.
Bower Studio
Bower Studio is a proudly queer owned business that was founded in 2011 by artists Isa Wang and Vincent Frano. They combined their interests in illustration and environmental stewardship to design beautiful and functional items that showcase the diversity of North America’s naturescapes. Today, they specialize in plantable seed cards and original illustrations - all sustainably handmade with eco-friendly materials.
Some of our favorites to support San Diego pride include the California Poppy Card (of course!) and the Lavender Greeting Card. Even more options are available at our Solana Beach location - pop in to browse what’s in store!

Bluestocking Books (Hillcrest)
Bluestocking Books is a LGBTQ+ owned bookstore tucked away in Hillcrest, and has provided a community space for the San Diego pride community for over 20 years. They stock a broad range of books for kids and adults, ranging from fiction and non-fiction, to graphic novels, humor, self-help, and more.
Industrial Grind Coffee (Tierrasanta)
Founders Barbara Jeanine and Kathy Hansen opened the first Industrial Grind Coffee in Hillcrest back in 2011. Over the years, they’ve experimented with roasting their own beans, gluten free baking, and most recently, take-home baking kits to enjoy their delicious treats fresh from the oven. If you’re in their Tierrasanta neighborhood, stop in for a cup of artisan coffee and scrumptious, gluten-free baked goods to support our San Diego pride community.
Gossip Grill (Hillcrest)
Since 2009, Gossip Grill has been a mainstay in the LGBTQ+ scene - this LGBTQ+ owned San Diego business is one of only a few lesbian bars left in the United States. Today, Gossip Grill has blossomed into a full restaurant and patio bar, which turns into a dance nightclub after the sun goes down. Although touted as a women’s bar, Gossip Grill welcomes patrons of all identities.
