Three Unique Fall Wedding Color Palettes
When you think of fall wedding colors, warm red, deep orange, and moody burgundy probably come to mind. At Native Poppy, our wedding floral team loves to play with color – we always appreciate when couples opt to ditch traditional colors and embrace unexpected color combinations.
If you’re planning a fall wedding and crave something fresh and playful, we’ve got ideas for three unique fall wedding color palettes to make your celebration stand out. These artistic takes on our favorite oh-so-autumnal color combinations are perfect for couples who want less PSL, more Practical Magic.

Chartreuse and Burnt Orange - A Modern Twist on A Retro Classic Color Palette
Chartreuse has been named the “it” color for fall of 2025 by The Every Girl and Homes & Gardens Magazine. Using a vibrant color like chartreuse green gives a traditional fall palette a twist! We paired this retro hue with shades of pale peach, rust and (fine, we’ll say it) pumpkin orange to create a daring and unique floral color palette for Samantha and Steven’s full service wedding.
Native Poppy’s florists brought this vibe to life with unique blooms like Mokara orchids, dried bittersweet, sedum, explosion grass, pom bunches, lilies, and dahlias. Think groovy 70’s colors, with a chic, elevated spin.

Butter Yellow and Dark Green - A Sunny, Honey Autumn Color Palette
Butter yellow: we can’t get enough of this super trendy wedding color. It might not scream fall at first, but this color speaks to the transition of bright summer days into cooler evenings with the sun peeking through clouds. Our florists love how this color plays with fall tones! When paired with a bounty of green, gold, and a touch of dusty peach, butter yellow brings a dreamy, sun-dappled feel to your celebration. Pairing with the colors of late summer and early fall, suddenly butter yellow transforms from a cool spring tone, to something else entirely. It’s evoking the color of wheat during the harvest, the golden glow of earlier sunsets, of pie crust! Suddenly it’s all we can see for fall! This soft shade of yellow catches the light just right, and reflects that golden hour glow.
We designed wedding florals for Brody Jenner and Tia Blanco’s Malibu Canyon Wedding in this unique fall wedding color palette inspired by the hues of honeydew, in honor of their daughter named Honey! We used peach spray roses complimented with accent florals like larkspur, phlox, asparagus fern, allium, eremurus, and lily grass. What an honor to have our work from this glowy wedding featured in People Magazine!

Blush and Dark Chocolate - A Gothic Romance Color Palette
For those with classic taste looking for just a bit of fall’s moody vibes, this romantic take on blush, ivory, and green is given seasonal flair with touches of chocolate and rust. It’s like giving your bestie who’s always in cream a colorful fall scarf! Neutral tones from the Quicksand roses, Cafe au Lait dahlias, astilbe, and Majolica spray roses create striking contrast against the pops of the nearly black Chocolate cosmos, mauve lisianthus and the golden brown shade of a San Diego fall favorite: dried rain tree pods! This color palette is perfect for couples who want to embrace fall with a timeless look for their wedding.
We loved flowering in this color palette for Jamie and Chris’s equestrian-themed beachside wedding, which won Florists’ Review Magazine’s Autumn Wedding Contest in the Best Overall Floral Designer category, making it especially memorable for our team!
