Judy and Darrin’s wedding weekend highlighted the beauty of our seaside city, from their welcome dinner on the beach just outside the Hotel del Coronado, to their intimate wedding ceremony on their private yacht in the San Diego bay.

We turned their welcome dinner into a vibrant beach bash with gorgeous blooms like bright pink peonies and romantic peach garden roses. A carefully crafted wildflower meadow entrance to their expansive beach cabana created a memorable start to the party. Guests snagged a drink at the vintage-style bar, which featured eye-catching basket-woven urns framing either side, filled with flowers that felt like the essence of summer. The festive dinner party was protected from the sea breeze by an elegant, modern windscreen, artfully draped with linens and floating floral clouds.

The couple’s wedding day was spent on the water, with an intimate ceremony and reception dinner held on their private yacht. Our team of florists designed artful ground florals to act as a backdrop for the altar, including a mix of fluffy hydrangea, white peonies, roses, campanula bells, and romantic trailing honeysuckle vines. We transformed the ship’s deck into a garden paradise, hanging floral garland to create a pergola effect, shading the guests as they dined.

Judy incorporated two small lockets with photos of her parents and Darrin’s parents into her bridal bouquet, keeping their memory close to her heart on her big day. Moments of personalization made this event feel extra special, and we created florals for virtually every nook of the ship to ensure the garden theme felt cohesive throughout the event.
