Celebrate the season while learning to create a fresh holiday wreath by hand. Using fragrant winter evergreens and textural botanical accents, you’ll design a lush wreath to welcome guests and bring natural beauty into your home for the holidays.

ABOUT THE SERIES

Becoming a Florist is a rotating workshop series built around the wide range of floral designs professional florists create for weddings, events, retail, and everyday work. Each month focuses on a different core floral form, giving participants the opportunity to build real-world design experience across styles, scales, and applications.

Throughout the series, you’ll learn professional florist approaches to mechanics, structure, flower care, and design decision-making, along with practical considerations like handling, transport, and longevity. This series is designed to support both arranging hobbyists and working florists looking to expand their technical skills and confidence.

Please note: Workshops can be taken as stand-alone classes or as part of a year-long progression through foundational and advanced floral forms.

THIS MONTH’S FOCUS: HOLIDAY WREATH

In this workshop, we’ll focus on constructing a fresh holiday wreath using seasonal evergreens and botanical accents. Instruction will cover preparing and layering greenery, creating fullness and directional movement, balancing color and texture, securely attaching materials, and finishing the wreath for hanging and display.

Each participant will create one fresh holiday wreath to take home and enjoy throughout the season.

WHO THIS CLASS IS FOR

No prior professional experience is required to participate. This workshop is appropriate for all skill levels, and no portfolio or proof of previous classes is needed. Whether you’re exploring floristry as a creative practice, interested in handmade seasonal traditions, or actively working with flowers, this class offers hands-on experience with a versatile floral-design technique.
