Experience an evening with Native Poppy and Violet of Botanical Spells centered around flowers, creativity, pigment, and wearable botanical art. 
You’ll begin by learning Native Poppy’s signature approach to creating a lush, garden-inspired hand-tied flower arrangement. Our designers will guide you through flower preparation, composition, color, and the techniques of layering used to build a balanced bouquet by hand.  

Then, you’ll be introduced to hapa zome, the Japanese art of transferring fresh plant pigments onto fabric by gently hammering flowers and leaves. Using seasonal blooms and this rhythmic, hands-on technique, you’ll create one-of-a-kind botanical textile on silk. The natural colors and shapes of the flowers will emerge directly onto the fabric, resulting in a scarf or bandana that can be worn, tied onto a bag, or displayed as a piece of floral art.  

No prior floral-design or textile experience is necessary. This workshop is welcoming to beginners and designed for anyone interested in flowers, color, and creating something beautifully unexpected.
