An Update from our Mission Valley Design Warehouse
Hi Wild Flowers, unfortunately we have some sad news to share, this time about our Mission Valley location. On Jan. 22nd, 2024, our warehouse was severely damaged during the storm that passed through San Diego.
While we assess the damage, and wait for confirmation it's safe for the team to return, we must temporarily cease operations from our Mission Valley location.
What we already know:
The damage to the building, our merchandise, furniture, supplies, delivery vehicles, and flowers is devastating. With flood water reaching over three feet high inside the warehouse, many of the items we depend on for day-to-day operations have been damaged or destroyed. We are sorting through the mess to pick up broken pieces and see what might be recovered.
We thank you for your patience as we adapt to a new workflow. Our Poppies will be rallying together to find creative ways to continue bringing you the artistry you expect from our team, working from our other two locations in South Park and Solana Beach, which will remain open! If you placed an order for pickup from our Warehouse location this week, we'll be contacting you ASAP to make other arrangements. And of course, our email is always open at hello@nativepoppy.com if you have any questions!
Unfortunately, our insurance broker has informed us that we do not have flood coverage, and we're anticipating an expensive recovery ahead.
You may be aware that this is our second round of bad luck in recent memory. We feel like we're still getting our footing after the car crashed into our South Park location in 2022! Our team has been through a lot together in the past few years, which has created a wonderful bond with out community. But once again, we are asking for your help.
How you can help:
We are so grateful for the outpouring of support from our community. Many have reached out to ask what to do to help the Native Poppies bounce back. Your support will help us hold onto our incredible team, move our warehouse operations over to our South Park and Solana Beach retail stores, and allow our team the opportunity to continue bringing magical floral moments to our community.
As we restore our design warehouse, where we've built flowers for countless weddings and events, here's what would help us the most:
Pre-order Valentine's Day blooms for local San Diego delivery
You can shop our Valentine's Day Flower Menu for flowers available for delivery almost anywhere in San Diego.
Pickup fresh flower and gifts from our South Park or Solana Beach shops
Our retail stores on Cedros Ave. in Solana Beach and Grape St. in South Park are open Tuesday through Sunday, 10am-5pm.
Purchase an online gift card for future use
We offer gift cards in any amount, and online gift cards arrive instantly to your inbox.
Send a donation of any amount
We're grateful for every word of encouragement and helping hand from our community. Your donation will help us keep our team making magic together as we adapt to this new chapter.
